Access to refrigeration and freezer space was extremely limited and by 1996 we were bursting at the seams and ill prepared to accommodate the steadily increasing requests for. We are the 4th largest food distributor for second harvest food bank. It is our intention that they receive not only food for their physical hunger but generous portions of kindness and grace to feed their spiritual and emotional hungers. Emergency food is shared with love and respect to those who come for assistance.

Behind our office is our food pantry. Our mission our mission is to eliminate hunger in the perkiomen area by providing residents in need with programs that provide food promote the value of nutrition increase self sufficiency and instill hope. With the help of 30 000 volunteers annually and an agency network of more than 600 partner agencies we serve more than 300 000 people on a monthly basis. Circle of concern is guided by some lofty ideals.

We demonstrate the love of jesus christ by providing the loving compassionate distribution of food for the sustenance of those who are hungry in our community. During that time food for people also began providing food for several pantries located throughout the county in addition to our direct food distribution in eureka. Governed by local christian churches the crystal lake food pantry through its volunteers provides food and supplies to individual and families in the crystal lake and mchenry county areas who are in need.
